Secure the groups:  Things can get jostled around in the mail system.  Make sure your individual slide
groups (assuming you have more than one) will remain intact.  It would be sad if you spent a lot of time
organizing your slides into chronological groups only to have them arrive to us as one big jumbled pile of
slides!  If you want the groups of slides in a particular order make sure the order you want is clearly
labeled on each group and if you've named each group make sure that's securely attached too.
Get a box: Find a sturdy box large enough for everything you're sending.
Free postal mailing boxes are available at the post office if you use USPS
Priority Mail. The free boxes come in an assortment of sizes and are plenty
large enough for mailing loose slides, slides in processing boxes and
rubber banded groups of slides. The largest of the free priority boxes is
12"x12x"x8" and will accommodate 3 slide carousels***.
The post office also has boxes you can buy
called "Ready Post". For $3.19 you can get a box
that is 15"x12"x10" which is big enough for 5 slide
carousels. If you're mailing more than 5 carousels
you'll have  to find a sturdy box elsewhere or use
more than one box.

Form: Make sure to enclose the order form and payment in the box.

Shipping label: You can cut out the address label from the order form and attach it to the box using clear
carton tape.  Please cover the entire label with tape to make it waterproof.

Post office: Take the box to your local post office and ask that it be mailed using USPS Priority Mail with
Delivery Confirmation™.  Delivery confirmation™ allows limited tracking of the package.  If your box is
particularly large or heavy you can use USPS Parcel Post with Delivery Confirmation™ instead of Priority.
Parcel Post is a little less expensive but delivery times are a little slower.

Insurance: You decide if you want postal insurance.  Despite what you might hear the post office does a
phenomenal job.  We've never had a package mailed to or by SuperiorSlides go astray.

The package we mail back to you: All packages we mail to you are mailed using USPS Priority mail with
Delivery Confirmation™.  Optionally we can include USPS Signature Confirmation™ (see order form).
With USPS Signature Confirmation™ your postal carrier will not deliver the package without you or a
responsible person at  your address sign for the package.  We do not purchase postal insurance on the
package we mail to you however we do save backup copies of all discs we create so if your DVDs
becomes lost, damaged or you'd just like additional copies we can create them for you (price and
availability subject to change).
We're confident when you and your family see the old slides again
there will be lots of smiles and hours of reminiscing.
